Ramappa / Rudreshwara temple

Ramappa temple is located in Palampet village approx 200km north east of Hyderabad, telangana.
It is a Shiva temple of Kakatiya style. It is built by the patronage of the Kakatiya ruler Kakati Ganapathi Deva under the authority of his chief commander RudraSamani (Recherla Rudra) in 1213 AD.
     It is India's only temple which is named after its chief sculptor Ramappa.
   It was declared a UNESCO World heritage site in 2021 as 'kakatiya Rudreshwara (Ramappa) temple' Telangana.

    Some of its significance are-
1. Temple's gopuram bricks were made of clay , acacia, wood, chaff and myrobalan fruit, which made it light enough to float on water and earthquake resistant.

2. Temple was built using sand box technology.
 
3. Temple's pillars were beautifully carved .

4. One pillar depicts lord Krishna in Sunlight.

5. The column of temple produces musical notes which lightly struck.

      This temple is built in Vesara style of temple architecture. 
    It is a famous tourist and devote stop of the area. It beautiful carvings and temple style attract many tourist every year. If one live nearby or love to visit beautiful architecture landscapes , one must visit this place and see the beautiful place.
